Amethyst Class
One of our learning outcomes this week was to 'create and recreate patterns and build models'. The children have certainly enjoyed achieving this using tiddlywinks (counters), tubes and pebbles on the large mirrors. There have been some wonderful patterns created in our class.
Click on the children below to see the patterns that they made this week.
Callista
Callista made large circles with the yellow counters and black pebbles.
Sianna
Sianna's pattern included some of the recycled tubes.
Abdullah
Abdullah used tubes, pebbles and lots of different coloured counters.
Emerald Class
We have been sequencing a variety of vehicles to make repeated patterns in our maths this week. Some of us have sequenced story photos too and have told Mrs Cumming our own version of events!
Lara
Lara chose the helicopter and the tractor for her repeated pattern.
Pauls
Welcome to our new Emerald!
Harry
Harry sequencing a photo story.
Next week...
- Making 3D cityscapes from cardboard
- ordinal numbers
- comparing city/country life and recording our ideas
- making a small world set to represent our class story
Reminders
On PE days the children need to come to school wearing their full PE kit. It includes a white t-shirt, shorts, tracksuit bottoms and trainers. The children cannot take part unless they have the correct kit. As the weather is cold the children will wear their tracksuit bottoms in class, but still need shorts for in the hall.
Please bring your child's full school uniform to change into. We change into this after our PE session.
New school bags available at the uniform shop!
Thank you
Information Evening
It was great to see so many of you at our Information Evening on Tuesday. We hope that you found it useful.
Class Parent
Thank you to Pauline Roberts (Olivia's mum) for volunteering to step in as class parent for the Amethyst class. I am sure you will be hearing from her soon.
