John was born January 9,1878 and died September 25,1958.

Background

John's mother was very religious,which made him despise religion later in life. He was arrested twice in high school. John went to Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. Watson researched child rearing, advertising, and animal behavior.

Contribution to psychology

John B. Watson developed the theory of behaviorism. John established the psychological school of behaviorism. He conducted "Little Albert" experiment.
