• To the entire staff and student body for exemplary behavior and following protocol during Monday's emergency evacuation. Everyone was calm, poised and alert, and followed all directions given. Fortunately, it was a minor event, but I'm proud that everyone showed preparedness in the event of an emergency.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will help support the luncheon we are planning for the staff at The Academy at Palumbo and will allow us to plan for scholarships that we will give to graduating seniors.

I am excited to share that EVERFI is partnering with Citizens to host educational sessions next month for Academy at Palumbo families. These events are designed for parents of high school age students and will provide families with guidance on how to prepare and plan for life after graduation. Family members can expect to hear from panelists on topics including:

• The various paths students can take after high school
• How to find “free money” & what to take into consideration when investing in your children’s futures
• Accessing supportive resources available for financing higher education

These sessions are free for all community members to attend, and during each session 2 lucky attendees will receive a $50 gift card. Additionally, attendees will learn more about a $15,000 scholarship opportunity that is open now and requires no essay!

There are four sessions to choose from (dates and times below). Families are welcome to attend whatever session fits best with their schedule. If they are unable to attend these sessions live, they can register to receive a recording.
