The Internship Googliness Scene
Welcome Back!
We have lots to learn this year, and we are all in it together! We will have continuing professional development during our collaboration time, but I encourage you to seek outside sources for instructional ideas. Below are some ideas to get you started!
Instructional Communities on Social Media
Twitter:
If you want some great GSuite ideas, follow @alicekeeler, @shakeuplearning, and @pintobeanz11. There are many great people to follow, including teachers from other schools in Virginia Beach! Find some teachers to follow on your grade level and you will get great instructional ideas! You can also search hashtags! Try #gafe4littles or #GSuiteEDU.
Facebook:
Join groups like Hyperdocs, Google Teacher Tribe, and Ditch That Textbook. There are also groups for Seesaw and BreakoutEDU.
VBCPS PLP
There are MANY opportunities to attend a PLP on Google. Search Frontline and you will see several options.
Professional Books
I have some books on using Google in the classroom. See me if you would like to read any of the following:
50 Things You Can Do With Google Classroom
50 Things To Go Further With Google Classroom
The Hyperdocs Handbook
Teaching Math with Google Apps
The Google Infused Classroom
Hacking Google for Education
The Google Apps Guidebook
Additional Resources
Want instructional ideas in addition to Google? Try iTeach 1:1, Erintegration, or The Techie Teacher. These are great blogs filled with ways to utilize technology!
Invite me!
I'll be happy to join your grade level collaboration! Are you a Transformation Learning Leader or Math CLC? Let me know! I'll be happy to help you with presenting information to your grade level.
