5th Grade

  • Fifth grade is involved in a lot of testing. We have finished NWEA testing and will be starting the MCA’s, a state standardized test, on April 8th. You can help your child feel at ease with these tests by assuring that your child….

-Gets a good night sleep.

-Eats a healthy breakfast.

-Understands that these tests are IMPORTANT and that they should TAKE THEIR TIME and DO THEIR VERY BEST!

  • On testing days…..Students will be served a free breakfast here at Franklin! Students can choose to eat breakfast at home that day, BUT they should NOT eat the “normal” school breakfast before school starts because we will be eating as a grade level after specials.

  • The school provides mints, gum, headphones, a limited amount of mice, and a chromebook to students while testing. Students can bring their own headphones and mice IF they choose to.
