Take a quick break from the routine, do something silly or spontaneous, maybe even surprise your child with something out of the ordinary: a drive to the beach, a long walk in nature, camping in the backyard on a school night, a family movie night, eating dinner outside, just anything to spice it up. With all the rigor of school, the numerous Zoom meetings and online expectations, it's important that your child FEELS human connection to you and other family members. If your family is safely enjoying the company of other close relatives or friends, make sure you facilitate play and exercise whenever possible.
You all are doing an outstanding job! Thank you so much for helping your child be successful. We've noticed students showing up to class prepared with the appropriate materials and ready to learn. We appreciate the effort you're making to be waiting in Zoom waiting rooms before class starts. Your children are engaging in quality work and trying their best. We know that doesn't come without support from you, so we thank you for partnering with us during this time.
Please keep in mind that if something isn't working for your child, your teachers are ready to listen and pivot with you as needed. Although we are intentional and strategic in our teaching, we're learning as we go also and we aren't afraid to make changes when needed. Your feedback is valued and appreciated. Thank you for sharing and reinforcing the things that ARE working. It's so nice to hear from you and be mindful of how learning feels on your end.
Have a great rest of your week, Panther families!
From our planet to yours,
