History of Cupcakes
Cupcakes go back to 1796. Amelia Simmons wrote American Cookery which had the recipe of cakes in small cups. At first, cakes were baked in pottery cups when muffin tins were not available.
Cupcakes Today
Today, cupcakes are in many different flavors. They are decorated with thousands different types of sprinkles, frosting, and more. There are many different flavors of cupcakes such as red velvet and chocolate fudge. Cupcakes can be a treat eaten at birthdays, holidays, and any party.
