To Do List & Upcoming Dates:
- Gratitude Challenges: So far I have text out 2 of them. There will be 5 total. If you didn't get them, talk to Jodi to check your phone number in Powerschool (it's the same system you'd get emergency notices on through the district). Starting at challenge #3; you will have to find something and TAKE a photo (you cannot use old/saved/internet photos). These are just for fun! You can easily hit delete!
- PTC Conference Attendance: Report your #'s here, if you haven't yet done so.
- Staff Xmas Party - FRIDAY, Dec. 13th: 6:00-10 or so? Thank you to Karen (& Bill) Borg for offering to host us again at their home for a holiday gathering. Start finding those babysitters. Sticking to tradition, you are invited to bring a $5. "garden" gift / adult (one adult guest is also invited).
- Warner's Meal Train: If you feel the need to help support/ease Sarah's shift back into work mode a bit, here's the latest meal train.
- Camp Invention (June 15-19, 2020): We committed to offer this hands on STEM camp to our kiddos again in June. Last year we were able to hire 4 instructors. If you are interested in teaching at it (or even think you 'might be'), let me know. I am making a list!
- Intervention Groups: Please re-check your grade level schedules you were given two weeks ago. No 'Walk to Read' groups will occur on Friday (starting this week) to allow for classrooms weekly assessments. Some Tier 2 groups may still run Fridays depending if you have another day off during the week. Bottom line, all Walk to Read groups and Tier 2 groups will be 4 days per week from now on. Thank you for understanding and showing flexibility to shift a bit.
- Nov. 29: Deadline to order PTA tshirt/sweatshirt (Put all orders/$ in PTA box)
- Nov. 29: Deadline for students to sign up for craft & bake sale (on Dec. 6)
- Dec. 6: 3:30-5:30 Student Craft & Bake Sale in the Gym (tell your friends to come shop!)
- Dec. 11: All Staff "Cookie Exchange/Holiday Giving" 3:15 in Library (everyone is invited to bring 4 dozen goodies (and your own container to take some home).
- Jan. 17: 7th Annual District Art Contest: Encourage students to enter the "nature" contest this year or take it on as a class. Entries are due no later than January 17th.
- Future Into Reading Trainings: Jan. 17, March 13, and May 15. Subs will release these teachers to attend the training in the East Computer Lab: 8:00-9:30 Grades 2 & 3 / 10:30-12:00 Grades 4-5 / 1:00-3:00 Grades K-1
- March 22: Deadline to submit any student Patriotism Essays (per the Lions Club Contest - hanging by the downstairs copy machine). Paricipate with your students, if you wish.
- March Board Mtg. Any MDEF Grants must be submitted for pre-approval.

Staff Notes:
- Thank you Win Hulbert! Thank you is hardly enough for this this lady, but let's say it to her on her last day (Friday, November 15th). I am so thankful she was able to step in for Sarah while she recovers. Sarah is not 100% but is prepared to do the best she can starting Monday. I have promised Sarah we are all here to help as she is so excited to get back to school!
- Advanced Student Pyramid Here is a great tool to use to determine what interventions/referrals may be necessary for advanced learned. It's saved in the eBinder under RtI or click here.
- Inside Day Ideas: For any upcoming recesses that we call to stay inside, here are some alternative ideas for your grade level to consider instead of only a video option. Perhaps at lunch time, you can create one room for 'Go Noodle' and one room for free choice. If you'd like me to change that on the schedule for any lunch time inside days, let me know what your grade level /lunch supervisor decide to do.
- Headphones: Just as a reminder, we now have 60 specific headphones that stay with the 60 ipads and can be used (only with the ipads) anytime you grab an iPad. Just train kids to put them back in baggies and keep them bunded...you can take x number of headphones to classrooms to use at non testing times as long as you have the same x number of iPads. The two mobile laptop carts have headphones that live on top of the carts. Bottom line idea is to keep devices with headphones so we never have to go hunting down one or the other.
- iStation READING Benchmarking Days K-3: Review these little edits to help it be more successful!
*All devices will be checked/pulled to ready mode the night before
*There now are headphones that STAY with each of the mobile carts
*Check with Jamie/Michelle on the grade level times to administer your tests Tuesday
*Classroom teachers, any help pre-teaching expectations prior to your start time
*Get kids into 'ready' mode!
*Consider teaching students to use a feedback sheet and be excited about growth.
