Principal's Page from Heather Schumacher

Dear Rose Families,

It was such a pleasure to see so many Rose families at the PTO Family Fun Fest last Sunday. I want to thank the PTO parents that oversaw the planning and coordination of this awesome event and those parents and BHS students that volunteered their time to ensure a fun and safe experience for our Rose students. We were so fortunate to have beautiful summer weather so everyone could enjoy the sun and fresh air while munching on snacks and playing the carnival games!

Also, thank you to all of our parent volunteers that have been assisting during Rose lunch periods. We are so grateful for your assistance as it really helps us support students and follow safety protocols carefully during lunch. We will send out the October sign-up shortly.

Finally, there is a social media campaign that is encouraging students to vandalize school bathrooms and steal items (such as soap and school supplies). Unfortunately, we have had two such incidents already at Rose School, and students have reported that they are aware of these TikTok challenges. Our staff is continuing to be vigilant in regards to student behavior, and have had conversations with their classes about respectful behavior while at school. Please help reinforce the message that students need to be respectful, responsible, and safe while at Rose School, and let us know if your child shares any details about these incidents with you.

Warm regards,

Heather Schumacher
