Sensory Stations are Complete!

Students will be learning how to use the sensory station and the purpose of them this week! We are super excited about this addition to all classrooms! We are still working on the sensory room, but are hopeful that will be up and running soon!

Thank you to all individuals that donated items! We are certainly blessed at Ireland to have wonderful families!

Calling for Junior Achievement (JA) Volunteers!

Every year all of our classrooms receive Junior Achievement lessons from business volunteers. We are in need of a few more volunteers this year. We are needing a volunteer for Mrs. Kurzendoerfer, Mrs. Kincer, and Mrs. Mehringer's classrooms.

All programs are 5 visits to the classroom for 40 minutes each visit. If you have an interest in teaching those lessons, please contact Ruth Wilson at Ruth.Wilson@ja.org.

Thanks!

Kindness Challenge of the Week

Give your parents and siblings lots of hugs just because.

Every week, your child will be receiving a kindness challenge! If they complete the challenge, they get to put up a sticker on our kindness challenge board!

Jump in on the fun at home too! Help us promote kindness to all - at school, home, and community!

Pink Shirt Day - Orders Due TOMORROW!

Our school is proud to celebrate Pink Shirt Day! Kiersten Heim had the winning t-shirt design this year!

It is a day when people come together by wearing pink shirts to school or work to show they are against bullying.

The focus for 2020 is "lift each other up."

All students received an order form last week. The order form is found below for your convenience. T-shirts and buttons are available for purchase. Thanks for your support!

Night to Shine Fundraiser

On Sunday, March 22nd, the Evansville Thunderbolts are playing the Birmingham Bulls at the Ford Center at 4:00 (Jasper Time). That day is a fundraiser day for Night to Shine in Dubois County.

The tickets are $10 each and the Thunderbolts are going to donate $3 from each ticket sold to Night to Shine. We will also be manning the "Chuck a Puck" tables and get all proceeds from that.

Hockey lasts just over 2 hours and is a ton of fun. The tickets are located in rows 5-11 behind near the goal. After the game, Swonder Ice is hosting open skate on the ice for anyone brave enough to put on some skates and have some fun.

So please consider getting your family, friends, neighbors or group of people together and come on over to Eville on a Sunday afternoon for some hockey fun!

If interested or if you need more information, please let me know.

Fundraiser - Simple & GREAT!

We ALREADY raised $352.76!

A lovely parent of Ireland Elementary found this SIMPLE and GREAT fundraiser for our school. The company Boon Supply gives 40% of every sale STRAIGHT to our school.

They offer high quality items, which are fun for yourself or a gift for the holiday season. Everything gets shipped straight to you....just like ordering online from all other stores! The parent who found this opportunity loves their reusable grocery bags!

Our school doesn't have to do anything for this fundraiser besides cashing the check :) . Thanks for checking it out to see if you can do any Christmas shopping or personal shopping.

This fundraiser is going to run all school year!

Have you ever thought of being a substitute teacher? If so, we NEED you!

It's almost Thanksgiving! It's almost Christmas! Every year we scurry to make a difference in disadvantaged children's lives during the holidays. Toys, clothes, and food are all wonderful things to give children, but most of all... our children need role models.

We need people with a calling to serve others in our schools daily. Substitutes are needed who truly desire to make an impact in children's lives. It's more difficult than cutting a check or cleaning out a closet, but your interaction with students might be the relationship that points a child toward a beautiful life.

Please consider giving the most impacting gift that you can this year... yourself. If you feel moved to help our students, please contact the central office at (812)482-1801.

Volunteers!

Anyone who would like to volunteer at school or chaperone a field trip must submit a background check. Once this is done, it is good as long as your child is a student at Ireland. If you aren't sure if you have completed one, your child's teacher can look it up for you. Background Check Link
