NEWS & NOTES
OFFICE CONSTRUCTION/COPIERS: Our new office layout has taken some getting used to, but we are glad to have the construction completed and to have the much needed additional office space. As we settle in to the new spaces, particularly the 'nook' and new shelving in the staff lounge, we are open to suggestions for how to best utilize this space. In the process of the construction and moving of Ernie, all data previously saved on Ernie was lost. This means that Ernie is not accepting copier codes or emails for scanning at this time. Mariana will be working hard Monday morning to restore all of this data as soon as possible, and our hope/plan is that Ernie will be up and running again by Monday afternoon. We understand that this is an inconvenience for everyone and appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we work to resolve the issue.
CIP PROGRESS CHECK SURVEY: Thanks to the many teachers who have already completed this survey! A special thanks to 2nd grade, so far the only grade level where all teachers have submitted responses. We have 26 responses at this point, and need many more in order to have sufficient feedback from each team. Please remember that we will use this information as we plan for CIP goals for the 2016-2017 school year. Go to https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1EvuQPVaAckmoW1ZPx43ac0SLKQCGnEg2qays-cDktv8/viewform?usp=send_form to complete the survey. The deadline is Monday, 1/11.
PARENT & TEACHER COLLABORATION NIGHT: We will be preparing signs to direct parents to the correct location. So far, we know the following locations: 3rd- cafeteria, 4th- library, 5th- gym. If you will be combining classes, please email Jenny with the classes that will be combined and the room number where you will be meeting. Thanks for all of your hard work in preparing for this event!
DOLPHIN CAMP: Dolphin Camp will take place the week of June 6-10. If you are interested in leading a camp, go to http://goo.gl/forms/uMkNosANQk to submit a proposal. Teaching Assistants interested in providing before/after camp care should also follow this link to state your interest. The deadline for submitting camp proposals is next Wednesday, 1/27.
