Principal's Message

Hello Washington Families! A few things to note so you can stay in the know:

~ The Scholastic Book Fair will be held from 3:00-7:00 on Monday, March 13 and Thursday, March 16. We need volunteers!!!! Please use THIS LINK to sign up to help with the awesome event. The Washington PTO needs your help, so thank you in advance.

~ Calendar Adjustment: Due to the snow days this week, we need to make adjustments to our school year calendar. In light of the missed days, we will be adding March 10th back into our school calendar as a day that students will be in school. This day will be an early release day, so students will be dismissed at 12:30 on this day. See the link below to sign up.

~ Early Release is scheduled for Wednesday, March 8. Please fill out this google form to let us know what your child's plans will be when school is dismissed at 12:30. You will use this same google form to sign up for the March 10th Early Release.

~ Conference Sign Up: Spring conferences are right around the corner. Please use THIS LINK to sign up for your child's conference.

~ Drop off in the morning: Please be reminded that students may NOT arrive to school before 7:35. There is NO supervision until that time.

~ Science Fair Information for Grades 3-5 students: Families of budding scientists:

If you have a 3rd, 4th, or 5th grader, you may have heard that your child is invited to embark on a journey of scientific discovery! The contract packet that recently went home is designed to help your family determine an intriguing testable question to focus on. If you and your child decide to take advantage of this memorable opportunity, please complete the last page of the contract and return it to school. In return, your child will receive their own copy of the 2023 Science Fair Workbook; this workbook will include a proposed timeline, reminder of important dates, a working copy of the scientific method, information/ideas regarding display boards, and judging criteria that former Wildcats (currently juniors & seniors) will use as they interact with our scientists at our science fair on Wednesday, March 22nd. If you have any questions, please use the contact information at the bottom of the contract packet that went home. If you need another copy of the contract, use the following link:

As always, thank you for all you do to help each day a success!
