We Need You!!
The opportunities below are important roles we need to fill. If you are interested in any of these opportunities, please contact the principal, Kelly Gerletti, at kelly.gerletti@cfisd.net. Please include your name, your child’s name and grade level, and the best number to reach you.
Garden Helpers-If you love working in the garden, this might be for you! We always need volunteers to help with watering and weeding.
School District Health Advisory Council-This is a district committee and we need one representative for our campus. The representative must be the parent or guardian of a student at Robison. There are 4 meetings during the school year (10 am to 12 pm) on September 13, 2022; December 13, 2022; February 7, 2023; and, April 11, 2023.
Superintendent’s Parent Leadership Committee-This is a district committee. Members meet with our superintendent, Dr. Henry two times during the year. There is a morning and evening meeting to accommodate the busy schedules that parents have. We will have one representative from our campus. Meeting dates are not yet known.
Horizons Parent Advisory Committee- This is a district committee. The campus representative must be the parent or guardian of a Robison student who has qualified for our Gifted and Talented program. Meeting dates and times are unknown at this time.
Campus Performance Objectives Council (CPOC)- This is a campus committee made up of the principal, administrators, teachers, and other staff, along with a district representative, parents, business partners, and members of the community. We would like to have at least two parents on the committee. The purpose of the committee is to review the progress of our campus goals. We will meet on September 16, November 18, February 10, and May 12. All meetings will take place from 7:30 am to 8:15 am at Robison.
Crisis Drills
Our students have already begun practicing our safety drills. Before any drill, our teachers teach the expectations for the drill. All of our drills are announced, so our students and staff are aware that they are only practicing.

*1 Fire Drill per month (when there are 10 or more instructional days in the month)
*1 Lockdown drill per semester
1 Evacuate (non-fire) per year
1 Secure the Building drill per year

Choir Information
Dear Parents of Fourth and Fifth Graders,
If your child enjoys singing and making music with their friends, please consider joining the Robison Choir this year. I will be sending a note home next week with all the information. Here are a few things. We meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in the Music room from 7:45-8:25. We prepare the music for the Veterans Day and Holiday Program. I would love to have your child be a part of such a fun and meaningful music experience. Not only do we sing but we make friendships and beautiful music together. Thanks so much for all your support.

Library News

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I am Ms. Wolfe for those of you who may be new to our wonderful school, I am your librarian, and excited about this school year!
A few things are coming our way real soon!
Library Birthday Book Club-It’s a tradition at Robison. I hope you will participate in this great program where kids love to select their own book and see their nameplate inside it. It is a wonderful way to help your child realize the importance of reading and they will leave a gift to Robison for years to come. The cost is $15 PLEASE use SCHOOL CASH as the form of payment. More information will be sent out in the next 2 weeks.
Summer READING Challenge-complete your challenge by September 19th to be included in a drawing for prizes and books. Students completing the challenge will also receive bronze, silver, or GOLD medals! Please sign your child’s yellow paper and return it to the library! So proud of my summer readers! Looking forward to the great bookmarks too.
Scholastic Book Fair is around the corner! Great childhood memories are created by visiting the bookfair and purchasing their own books. Most books are paperbacks and reading is truly a superpower: it builds problem-solving skills, imagination empathy, vocabulary and so much more. If you are interested in volunteering, please email emerson.wolfe@cfisd.net or a signup Genuis will be going out soon from your PTO. Our fair starts Sept. 30th and runs until October 7th at noon. Family night will take place October 4th from 4:30 to 7 PM, parents may bring their child/ren to shop for books together!
Student Birthdays
If you'd like to have your child's birthday celebrated at school, we offer parents the opportunity to purchase ice cream ($1.00) or cookies ($.50) from the cafeteria to be distributed to their child's class during lunch. In order for our cafeteria to prepare for this, you must give at least one week's notice. You may email michelle.mendiola@cfisd.net if you are interested.
We are unable to allow students to hand out birthday invitations at school, or to hand out birthday treats in the classrooms.
Chromebooks
If your child DOES NOT HAVE a Chromebook
- Go online to School Cash to complete the Parent Acknowledgment form.
- Sign the paper form that was sent home and record your receipt number (there is no charge).
