Catholic Schools Week is an exciting and eventful time for our students at St. Patrick Catholic School. This year we will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week from Saturday, January 28, through Friday, February 3. During the week our students and staff will participate in activities for faith, excellence, service, and fun. Download your copy of the activities below.
Saturday, January 28, our students will help lead the 5 PM Mass with Father Ivan. They will be helping with the readings, ushering, and singing. Our students work hard all year and this is a great way for them to share their faith and leadership skills with the parish.
One of the most meaningful activities during Catholic Schools Week is our school Mass. This year the school Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 31, at 10:30 AM. We are blessed to have Archbishop Jackels joining us in celebrating this Mass with Father Ivan, our students, and staff.
Parents, please check your child’s folder and backpack for Tuition Tax Credit Statements. If you have any questions or don’t receive it, please reach out to Laura Lockert.
Blessings,
Mr. Wiebers
Note: Our next Catholic School Board Meeting is Thursday, January 26, at 6 PM in the Parish Commons. The agenda will be linked to our school calendar next week. Anyone is welcome to sit in and hear what is going on. Thank you to the parents who are serving our school as members of the board.
FAITH
Students love how Father Ivan involves them in his homilies. They are eager to answer the questions he poses to them at each Mass.
EXCELLENCE
SERVICE
The Parish Office has received several thank you notes from homebound parishioners who received poinsettias and Christmas cards. They all mentioned how they loved the cards that our students drew. Small acts of kindness do not go unnoticed.
Catholic Schools Week Begins Saturday, January 28
Download our Catholic Schools Week Family Letter . (Hint: take a screenshot with your phone!) Keep this handy for information on out-of-uniform specifics, Mass information, and more.
We could use more adult helpers for Friday afternoon games. This will give our student leaders some time to participate too. CPTO also has spots available to help provide lunch items for staff on Monday and Thursday. SIGN UP HERE
Box Lunch Raffle tickets are on sale next week (Jan. 23-27) for 25 cents each. Students will be able to enter them in the decorated boxes on display in the first floor hallway for a chance to win lunch with a teacher during Catholic Schools Week.
February 18 Main Event Tickets on Sale
Here's a sneak peak one of the student artwork items you will have a chance to bid on this year! This masterpiece was created by our 3rd and 4th graders.
- Buy tickets Help our committee plan for the event by purchasing your tickets early.
- To help at the Main Event, use the Spring Volunteer SignUp. We are working to line up other helpers so our families can enjoy the event, but we do need some people to assist with setup, check out, and cleanup, etc. Want to help with games? That's fun too.
- Questions? Contact parent co-chairs Natalie Deery or Katie Hein.
