In partnership with Hendricks Pharmacy, Sycamore Elementary School is hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Wednesday, November 17th from 1:00 to 3:30. If you would like to participate in this clinic, please use this link to schedule a time for your child’s vaccination. https://hipaa.jotform.com/213066582084153. We are only vaccinating children between 5 and 11 at this clinic. If you have older family members that want to be vaccinated, you can set up a time at Hendricks Pharmacy. As you prepare your family for the vaccine, see this COVID-19 Vaccine Checklist offered by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Amplifying Voices Event, November 15

Save the date: In lieu of its monthly meeting, Sycamore’s Equity & Inclusion Committee invites you to Amplifying Voices: LGBTQ+ Student Experiences, the second in our series of Amplifying Voices events. The evening will allow adults to gain insights from the reflections and experiences of queer-identifying students who have attended Sycamore or other CUSD schools. See the flyer for details.

When: Monday, November 15th, 6-7:30pm

Where: Zoom

RSVP by Monday, November 8th to receive Zoom link: https://forms.gle/DJSxuQBgnNW7wv1R8

Picture Retakes November 16

On Tuesday, November 16 picture retakes will be available. Students were given their pictures on Wednesday, Nov. 10. Please review that picture to see if you want your child to retake the picture. If you do, send the pictures back to school by the day of retakes. Students who missed taking pictures in September will also take their picture at this time. If you have questions, contact Tina in the school office at thensley@cusd.claremont.edu. To order pictures, see www.schoolportraitsonline.com.

Publishing House

Since the 1970's, Sycamore students have had the opportunity to publish their writing for the enjoyment of peers. We continue this tradition each year in Publishing House. Student authors join PH by choice, and with the help of adult volunteers, they create and publish a print and digital copy of their work for our school's library. Student authors should get started with the PH Sign Up Form (due December 17). The success of Publishing House is dependent upon adult volunteers. If you're interested, read the PH Support Guide and contact us.
