Health Professions Society Objectives
The Purposes of the Health Professions Society
- To provide students interested in pursuing a health career with the support and encouragement necessary for success with their studies.
- To make the student a more competitive candidate for post-graduate health professional study, by ensuring the student is assisted in all areas of application.
- To provide a forum for the discussion of any issues the students may face in their pursuit of a health career.
- To educate the students of all possible choices of health careers and assist them with making an informed choice. This will include guest speakers and trips to institutes. There are a wide variety of post-graduation options of which students are unaware.
Membership Requirements
- Have an interest in pursuing a health profession
- Participate in research
- Minimum participation of 2 service events per year
- Must attend a minimum of 50% of all meetings
- Pay dues ($10/yr.)

Study Abroad Fair 2017
The Office of Study Abroad, International, and Domestic Programs (OIDP) will be hosting the annual Citadel Study Abroad Fair next Thursday, September 21, 2017from 6:00pm-8:00pm in Buyer Auditorium.
Come by and find out more about The Citadel in Lithuania - a Healthcare experience. This program will incorporate 4 weeks of shadowing experience at one of the largest and most advanced hospitals in the Baltic. You will shadow 4 different specialties of your choice. Those interested in Physical Therapy will have their shadowing geared towards PT and sports medicine.
Dates: May 13th - June 9th, 2017
If you are unable to attend the fair, please e-mail at imams1@citadel.edu with your name and your major and the profession in healthcare that interests you. Please do this ASAP, even if you are unsure you will be able to participate in the program.
