ADMINISTRATION UPDATE
Dear CCS Families,
Each morning we begin our day with student announcers reciting the CCS pledge:
At CCS, we take care of ourselves;
We take care of others;
We take care of this place.
This was the week we focused on taking care of others.
- Per our annual November tradition, K-4 classrooms are filling holiday food baskets for the Charlotte Food Shelf. In December, 5-8 classrooms will fill holiday food baskets again!
- Nurse Lauren reminded students to cover their coughs and sneezes to take care of others. That is especially important that we are doing that as we begin to close windows due to temperatures dropping and have less fresh air circulating around!
- As our marking period is coming to a close for the middle-level, students are supporting each other with extra practice sessions before their summatives. “The highest level of understanding is teaching.”
- CCS staff held a Souper Share, with potluck contributions of healthy and comfort foods during lunch on Wednesday.
- Grade 4 students went to Shelburne Farms on Monday, with lots of staff and parents joining them to help make it a successful field trip. Their pictures tell a tale of helping one another learn new (and old!) things.
We wish you all a warm, restful weekend.
Kind Regards,
Stephanie, Jen and Cassandra
