Welcome Back to Lander Elementary!
2021-2022 School Year
Dear Lander Elementary Families,
Mayfield Together. Mayfield Strong! As Principal of Lander Elementary School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year, it is my 8th year as the Principal at Lander and my 10th year in the district!
This newsletter contains lots of information to prepare for the start of the school year. We know that families are anxiously waiting to see who their child's teacher will be, this information will be in Infinite Campus, beginning on August 9th. Early next week you will receive a link to sign up for a 1:1 meeting with you and your child's teacher. These meetings will occur on August 16th and 17th, and will be held either in-person or via Zoom depending upon your preference. We do ask that your child be present for these meetings as well. If you do plan for an in-person meeting, this is a great time to bring in medications for child and their school supplies. If your child has a school issued device, this would be a great time to bring that as well. We respectfully ask for only one adult per household to attend in order to limit the number of visitors.
For our Kindergarten families, a link to sign up for your Kindergarten screening appointment will be sent early next week as well. These will occur on August 16th, 17th, and 18th. We ask that both you and your child be present for this screening, medications and school supplies can be brought in on this day as well.
This year we will be utilizing an App called School Dismissal Manager that will streamline the process for designating the dismissal arrangements for your child. Please look for the communication that will be sent with this information and sign your child up prior to school starting.
Our Welcome Back to School Guidelines from Dr. Barnes.
Our District Mask Policy and Guidance can be found here.
