GREATER ANDOVER DAYS CANCELED FOR 2020
Fireworks will still be held on October 3rd
For 52 years, Greater Andover Days has been a wonderful tradition celebrating our great city of Andover. We had hoped to bring a great festival to our citizens this year as well, but unfortunately, we must announce that the majority of our events for this year are cancelled.
The decision to cancel was not an easy decision to make, but the health and safety of our citizens, staff, volunteers, and vendors is our top priority. As you may know, Ottaway Amusements has cancelled all events for the remainder of 2020. Additionally, not all of our vendors were able to come out to the festival this year for a variety of reasons. Without the carnival and our vendors, the festival cannot be a financial success. In order to continue the festival for years to come, we had to make this unfortunate decision.
However, we are pleased to announce that there will still be a fireworks show on Saturday, October 3. Thanks to Andover State Bank and Wholesale Fireworks, our generous sponsors of this show for many years, we will be lighting up the night sky with our annual fireworks show. With the help of the additional co-sponsors at Laham Development and Vornado Air, we are able to produce a bigger show this year.
Please follow our website www.andoverks.com/gad and social media platforms for more information regarding the show in the coming weeks. While we unfortunately are unable to host all of our traditional activities at GAD this year, we are excited to share a little light with our residents.
In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to the committee. We look forward to resuming our festival for its 54th year in 2021.
Thank you,
Greater Andover Days Committee

ROADMAP TO REOPENING: Family Playbook 2020-2021
This playbook will continue to evolve as we add resources and as conditions change in our community’s health situation during the year. We want this to be a “living” document and a place that you can go for the latest information about the school year. As we continue to update you during the year, we will let you know of significant changes or additions that are made to this playbook.
As always, we appreciate your partnership and support of your child’s education.
