North Glendale Family Update
February 13, 2022
Good morning!
As we head deeper into second semester, I find myself with a foot in this school year, and one in next!
Part of that balance is staffing and celebrating staff who have decided to follow new pursuits which may include retiring. This is the case for a few NG staff who are planning the next phase of their lives While they are going to be HARD to replace, we are excited FOR them.
- Jane Fairbanks ~ Library Media
- Karen Lang ~ Classroom
- Damian Pritchard ~ Gifted
- Megan Reznicek ~ Health and Physical Education
- Lori Wehrmann ~ Music
- Tracy Wicker ~ Classroom
- Trisha Yettke ~ Classroom
Be on the look out for celebration opportunities for these long time NG staff members ~ we won't let them sneak away without some FUN!
Change can be hard, especially when you lose history, but it can also be quite energizing and full of potential.
Please join me in congratulating this crew of educators!

Black History Month
Last Stop on Market Street
Last Stop on Market Street is a 2015 children's book written by American author Matt de la Peña and illustrated by Christian Robinson, which won the 2016 Newbery Medal, a Coretta Scott King Illustrator Honor, and a Caldecott Honor. The story is an inclusive ode to kindness, empathy, gratitude, and finding joy in unexpected places, and celebrates the special bond between a curious young boy and his loving grandmother.
Kids will hear the book with their class and then will watch the musical at some point during the week.
