WDM's this Week
3-5 we will be looking at interim data - we will meet on Thursday at your normal time.
Garden Day Grab and Go!
This year instead of an all-day event, each class will have a designated garden bed with vegetable seedlings set in place. Coach Royal is having the older students pre dig holes for the PK through 1st grade classes earlier in the week (Thank you Coach Royal!) All the little students will need to do is place their seedling in the hole and fill in with soil.
If you'd like some other ideas for outdoor learning that day, please let me know and I'll be happy to send some your way.
One thing you can mention to your students is that the Monarch butterflies have begun their migration journey from Mexico to Canada and will be stopping in the Park Crest Garden to lay their eggs on the milkweed plants. They choose the milkweed plants because when the caterpillars eat the milkweed leaves it makes them poisonous to birds. Maybe your students will be lucky enough to spot one!
When: Thursday, April 1st - any time that works well for you - plan on approximately 20 minutes
Where: In the garden, just look for your name on a wooden marker to find the spot.
Happy planting!
