Why Is It Endangered?
The Peregrine Falcon became endangered in the mid-20th century but have since been taken off of the endangered species list. Their initial demise can be contributed to human disruption but had a steep decline in population due to DDT.
Why Is It Important?
Economically: Falconry, and Airports.
Ecologically: Top of the food chain, preyed on as babies by larger birds. They prey on many species of smaller birds.
