The story
I'm subletting my wonderful Greenpoint apartment while I'm out of town.

Apartment facts
- 10 foot high ceilings, crown molding, carved wood trim doors and windows
- 1st floor
- Big railroad (Living/dining room ~24x13, Bedroom ~9x9, Office ~16x11)
- Two chandeliers + Two ceiling fans (the same family has owned and continuously renovated this building since 1950. The last renovation was a few years ago so the kitchen/bathroom fixtures are new.)

Dining Room
Nice wood table (+ 6 chairs). It expands to double in size.
Living Room
This is actually the other side of the dining room. The couch converts into decently comfortable full-size bed.
Kitchen
Espresso machine, microwave, toaster, gas range / digital oven.
Office
There's a really big empty desk here. Other stuff you could use include the monitors, a light table, negative scanner, wireless printer/scanner.
Bedroom
With a full-size bed, this is technically connected to the office, but has a partition screen separating it. There's a big closet in the room you could use.
Bathroom
The fixtures were replaced with the latest in bathroom technology before we moved in.
Amenities
- 1080p EPSON Projector
- Keyboard (for playing music)
- Super-fast internet
- Convertible sofa bed from ABC Carpet Home (it's nice)
- Dual-screen monitors
- Coffee maker, microwave, toaster, gas range, kitchen is stocked.
- Built-in sink water purifier (not that we need it)
- Window AC unit in front office/bedroom
The neighborhood
We live on Russell St, between Driggs and Nassau facing McGolrick Park. I think you'll agree it's one of the most beautiful parks in Brooklyn. The address is Russell St, between Nassau & Driggs, 11222.
This is the actual building in the photo on right.
Here's the immediate neighborhood amenities:
- Your front yard is McGolrick Park (sprinklers, trees, 1910 Shelter Pavilion)
- Met Supermaket (half block away)
- Young Fruit (half block away), cheaper veg/fruit
- Two great bakeries (Syrena + Northside) for bread & misc artery cloggers. (half block)
- Laundromat 1.5 blocks away (no laundry in the building)
- Solid bar that plays heavy metal music and Monday night football (half block away)
- Various Polish delis, 1 Catholic church, 1 Lutheran Church, 1 synagogue, 1 mosque
- Expensive coffee shops, Indonesian restaurant, Japanese restaurant, 99 cent store, Van leeuwen ice cream factory, pet store. I can go on and on.
- Train: Nearest stop is the G @ Nassau (about 8 minute walk), or L @ Bedford (18 minute walk).
- Bike: There are rumors of a Citibike dock coming to the park.
- Plane: 15 min ride to LaGuardia airport via BQE.
- Automobile: Decent on-street parking (Twice weekly street cleaning). Zipcars are 10min walk.
