Keeping Up with Our Kids' Technology

Tuesday, Nov. 18th, 6-7:15pm

Pisgah View Community Center, 1 Granada Street

It’s not easy being a parent in the digital age. Join us for this interactive workshop as we explore current issues like sexting, social media sites and apps, etc. Gain new tips and skills for empowering your child to be a responsible digital citizen.

Attend this program that combines teaching of literacy skills with child development, adult empowerment, and professional skill development. Adults and children will be empowered to use the power of language to discover more about themselves, their families, and their communities.

Volunteer instructors trained by the Literacy Council teach lifeskills-based English classes for adult English learners. Learners practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English in the context of everyday life skills.

F I R S T : Circle of Parents

Wednesday, Nov. 19th, 5:30-7pm

Asheville, NC

Circle of Parents provides a friendly, supportive environment led by parents and other caregivers. Weekly groups will focus on parenting strategies that address challenging behaviors;social, emotional and academic learning through play and other relevant topics chosen by parents. Mission Heart Presents "Heart Healthy U"

Does someone YOU know have a chronic disease such as diabetes, heart disease, etc..? Join us for this informative class and learn tips you’ll need for a healthier U. Come check out how to prevent heart disease and find the steps you’ll need to perform in a cardiac emergency.
