Lincoln Elementary School * October 2016
National Bullying Prevention Month
Did you know that October is National Bullying Prevention Month? The color blue is used to raise awareness for bullying prevention. Students are encouraged to wear blue every Friday in October to help signify the importance and to raise awareness for bullying prevention.
Each week 5th grade students will be sharing important announcements with students about bullying behavior. We call this “Bullying Basics.”
Mrs. Jelcic has been doing anti-bullying lessons in the classrooms for students and staff to raise awareness for bullying recognition and prevention.
A special thank you to the Harlem Ambassadors for an informative assembly. The mission of the Harlem Ambassadors is to deliver a quality basketball show to their audiences throughout the United States. The show is designed to be fun for all ages. They are role models for youth, promote the values of staying in school, and to never give up on your dreams.

The group will be held during the school day and will be divided by grade levels. Students will meet during one lunch hour a month. We will eat lunch together during the group. The group will be led by the school counselor.
