One Book at a Time

Featured Book: How to Steal a Dog, by Barbara O'Connor

Georgina can't sit around and wait for her mom to earn enough money so they can buy a house. She is embarrassed to be living in her car with her mom and brother. Kids at school are starting to figure it out. When she sees a reward sign for a lost dog, she decides that all she has to do is find a dog, steal it, return it to the owner and collect reward money. When the owner of the dog she stole doesn't have enough money to offer a reward, Georgina and her brother have a tough choice to make and they learn some hard lessons along the way.
