Teamwork pays off!
By combining the efforts of the CPTO, the Annual Appeal and grant funds we were able to raise enough money to make our new playground equipment a reality! Please pray for a pending Black Hawk County Gaming grant to make it possible for us to purchase new surfacing this school year as well!
We do need your help to take down the old equipment this Saturday, Oct. 9, at 8 AM.
Please sign up at this link if you are able to help. https://forms.gle/x2carxhTmiuV8N4s5
Help us honor our Alumni!
The St. Patrick Strategic Planning team wants to know where our Alumni are and what they are doing. We would like to show our students and current families where Chargers go from here. Let’s see if we can locate Alumni from all 50 states! Please complete and share the following form so we can start collecting information and photos of our amazing former Chargers, whether they are still in school, busy with work or family, active in the community, or enjoying retirement. https://forms.gle/MZPEVEDwWw5azFrJ6
Faith
This week we celebrated our first Pet Blessing and Mass! St. Francis was present as well to help us honor his life. Thanks to all the parents and friends who joined us with their family pets. I was so proud of how well the students and animals behaved during this unfamiliar Mass structure. Fr. Ivan and I hope to make this an annual event.
On Oct. 14 we will come together for the living rosary. It is so wonderful to worship together and make these special memories with our students.
Excellence
After visiting our Spanish class today, it is no wonder 94% of our graduating 2020-21 grade 8 students passed the Spanish I exam and started in Spanish II their freshman year! I was thoroughly impressed with how fluent the students are! Offering Spanish to our K-8 students puts them at such a great advantage as they continue their education.(See a one-minute video clip below.)
