SCHOOL OUT AT NOON ON MONDAY!
Here's what's happening at Spring Lake....
We thank you for your continued patience with construction in areas that impact our school. We have been alerted by the local contractors and road crews that construction along Highway 198 and the area of 1900 south will be ongoing. Parents driving their children to school in those areas should expect delays or look for alternate routes.
Don't forget that this coming MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21st is a District Development Day and students will be dismissed from school at 12:00 PM. Please plan on this early dismissal.
Have a great week!

SHOW YOUR SCHOOL SPIRIT on SPIRIT FRIDAYS!
This year we did not print school shirts, but are working on a project that will allow parents to purchase spirit gear at an excellent price from an outside source. Watch for more information coming soon!
Hearing Screenings will take place on Thursday, October 1st.
October 7th
PICTURE DAY COMING SOON!
Welcome Bell!
SCHOOL PICTURES OCTOBER 7th
We invite all our remote learners to come and have their picture taken between 8:00-9:00 AM on that day so they can come and go before the other students arrive. Picture packets will be available in the office and parents can also pay online ahead of time.
We will send information out over the next few weeks.
SEP CONFERENCES
For this first SEP Conference, we are going to conduct virtual conferences via Zoom with the option for meeting in person by request.
When coming in person, you will need to wear a mask and social distance from other families. In order to limit the spread of germs, ONLY THE PARENTS AND THE CHILD should attend the conference (please leave younger children and siblings at home).
More information about signing up for a session will be coming next week.
Red Ribbon Week & Halloween
The week leading up to Halloween will be Red Ribbon Week. We will be having some fun theme days and activities to promote living a safe and drug free life. If you'd like to read more about Red Ribbon Week, CLICK HERE. The theme this year is BE HAPPY, BE BRAVE, BE DRUG FREE!
We are in discussion about the possibility of having a modified Halloween parade as conditions allow and if it is feasible by the end of October. We will send out more information on this as it gets closer.
Free Lunch & Breakfast Opportunity
Due to a Federal grant from the USDA, we are now operating a “Open Restricted Meal Program.” Under this program, breakfast and lunch are available for free to all students enrolled in Nebo School District, including remote learners.
If your student is a remote learner and you want to participate, please call your school each morning before 9 a.m. to place your order. Meals will be available for pick up in the front office 30 minutes before your school’s scheduled lunch. A 15-minute time frame has been allotted for meal pick up.
For the safety of our students, meals will only be available to students enrolled in the Nebo School District and will not be available to other children. This will help ensure the safety of our students and their families as additional foot traffic is kept to a minimum in our buildings.
This program is scheduled to run through December 2020, or until funding is exhausted.
Congratulations to our new Hawk Squad Members!
