Drop off Procedures
1. Only buses in the bus lane unless they are already gone.
2. Pull up as far as you can in the drive line before letting the kids get out. This allows for less back up and blockage on the street.
3. Stay in your car in the drive line at all times. If you want to get out or help your child out of the car, please park.
Thank you!
More New Teachers
Often the summer is a time of sudden change for schools, and this year is certainly that way for Jackson! Mrs. Feldhaus decided to return to McKinney, which provided Mr. Patron an opportunity to move up to 3rd grade. We hired Mrs. Dorr as our newest staff member and she will teach 2nd grade. Neida Arellano is our new AmeriCorps Member - we look forward to her providing interventions and running after school clubs in English and Spanish! Mrs. Sweeney will take Mrs. Shotts place for the year and we are excited to have her!
Thank you for trusting us to get these placements and decisions right over the summer while still keeping you as up to date as possible!

Principal Statement
School mission statement:
At Jackson, we are a family community which embraces a tradition of excellence that fosters emotional, social, and academic growth in a culture where everyone is happy, welcomed, included, and challenged.
School pillars:
Jackson Jaguars are Safe, Respectful, and Responsible!
I truly love our wonderful community of staff, students, and families. I know it is a great honor to be the principal at such a fantastic school and I am looking forward to a great year! This year our teachers will continue to learn from each other and with each other by observing in each others classrooms. 16-17 was a very successful year academically, and we are going to keep that going by focusing on rigorous, engaging activities in all classrooms. I am excited to start the year by reinforcing that every Jackson student is a wonder through the book We Are All Wonders. Look for stars around the building created by our very own Jackson Jaguars as a connected activity! Jackson is a happy, caring place and we can't wait to have your children and your family back!
Feel free to contact me anytime by calling the school or emailing me directly. I look forward to seeing you Wednesday night at the community grounds clean up, Thursday night at the ice cream social and playground grand opening, and, of course, on the much anticipated first day of school!
Sincerely,
Sarah Crane, EdD

Visitors and Volunteers
For the safety and security of all our students, all adults in the building should wear a badge at all times. Visitors and volunteers need to check in to the office to sign in and receive a badge.
Lost and found will be taken to a donation site EVERY FRIDAY. Please have your child check the rack often, and especially on Thursdays and Fridays. If a name is on an item tag, we will make every effort to return the item to the student.

Remember you can bring supplies to the Ice Cream Social on August 31st, if you'd like!
