1st Amendment-Religion

-Freedom to have whatever religion you choose

-The religion must follow all laws

-There can be no laws that say what religion you must follow

1st Amendment Court Case

Parents start complaining when their children need to start the day with prayers in a New York school. The school is public and the court said the school may not do religious practices during the school hours.

3rd Amendment

-No soldiers may be housed in a house without the owner's permission

-This amendment was written so the Quartering Act didn't happen again

-If an owner is forced to house soldiers, the soldiers are breaking the law

3rd Amendment Court Case

Police broke into a house in Nevada. They wanted to stay in the house and take advantage of investagating an incident that happened next door. The owner of the house filed a lawsuit but the case was never solved.
