Celebrating all things new at StJP Pre-school!
Last week we welcomed our new teachers at STJP Glenside campus and today we welcome our new staff at StJP Jenkintown campus!
Two Year Old Head Teacher: Mrs. Margie Kaczor grew up in Oreland and went to both DeSales and Arcadia University where she earned her Bachelors Degree. She has been in education for 7 years and has also worked as a behavior specialist for children with special needs. Mrs. Kaczor is a product of Catholic schools herself and she attended one of our local high schools, Bishop McDevitt. This is her first year teaching in a Catholic school and she looks forward to the opportunity.
Two Year Old Aide: Heather Doyle - Heather lives in Glenside with her husband and children. She is a member of St. Luke's Parish. She has worked in local preschools as an aide and Gym Teacher.
Four Year Old Teacher: Mary Cate Delia - Mrs. Mary Cate Delia was born in Columbus, Ohio and moved all across the country as a child because her dad was in the Air Force. She lived in five different states and finally moved to Newtown, PA when she was twelve. She attended Villa Joseph Marie High School in Holland, PA and then Alvernia University in Reading where she earned her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. After that she took some graduate courses at Immaculata and Holy Family University. She has two children, one is at StJP. She loves playing outside, reading, baking, gardens, and sews in her free time. Mrs. Delia loves to teach reading and writing because she had such wonderful ELA teachers in grade school and high school that inspired and encouraged her to love these subjects.
A great BIG welcome to our new Pre-School teachers!
I would also like to highlight that the StJP Pre-school has added:
*A New mini Science lab
*More Technology - (additional laptops and ipads for student use)
AND......our enrollment has tripled since our opening in 2013. We have over 90 students and have two classes of Two Year Olds, Three Year Olds and Four Year Olds.
This really is an exciting time for all of STJP School!!!!
