My Dream Job is...?

My Dream occupation is Architect. An Architect is a person who plans, designs and oversees the construction of buildings.

Education and Training

A bachelor's degree in Science, Studio Arts, Engineering and a master in Architecture. Graduates of professional architecture programs must train under a licensed architect and earn a total of 700 internship units before receiving their license. Each internship unit is equal to eight hours of training, and it typically takes three years of full-time work to complete the 700 units.

Job Duties/ Tasks

Prepare scale drawings or architectural designs, using computer-aided design or other tools.
Plan or design structures such as residences, office buildings, theaters, factories, or other structural properties in accordance with environmental, safety, or other regulations.
Direct activities of technicians engaged in preparing drawings or specification documents.

Why I want to be an Architect...

I want to be an Architect because, I have always liked building designs and solving problems. I am very creative and good with people and listening. The only bad thing is, I'm not a good decision maker. But besides that, I think this job suits me perfectly.

Being an Architect is my Dream job because...

I've thought about different careers before such as, Graphic Designer, Lawyer or a Teacher. But being an Architect is my dream job because, it includes all of the things I am good at, it suits me, it's a comfortable working environment and it's pretty good money.

Architecture is about the making of places where people spend their lives. Whether these are public or private spaces, architects work with a variety of massing, hierarchies of volumes, space planning, materials and facade elevations.
