THIS WEEKEND: CHS Family Theatre Production, March 1-3
Celebrating its 20th year of Family Theatre!
Chesterton High School Family Theatre will present Looking Glass Alice in Wonderland, adapted by Della Tazel from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass on March 1-3. This year's production is even more exciting than usual, as it is the 20th Anniversary of Chesterton Family Theatre! This winter play is co-directed by teacher Anne Sharp, executive director and Katrina Lutze (CHS grad 2008), creative director. Read more at Duneland in the News...
CHS students share 3D technology at Yost Elementary
Four Chesterton High School students came to Yost Elementary recently to introduce the 3D printer to the Yost Elementary students during their lunchtime. The high school students talked to the younger students about science and engineering and shared some manufactured legos with the students. The kids loved it. There were many who stayed their entire recess to talk to the CHS students and watch the machine print. “The students thought it was really cool,” said Yost Elementary Principal Josh Huwig. This event was made possible thanks to Principal Brent Martinson and Industrial Tech teacher Tom Moodie. Chesterton High School students presenting were, center photo above, left to right, Jackson Roberts, Sam Slutzkin, Evan Ekblaw and Ryan Ehlers. (Duneland Schools photos)
Duneland School Corporation to host series of Public Meetings
Planning for the Next 50 Years of Serving Our Community and Students
The Duneland School Corporation will host a series of meetings for the purpose of sharing information about the District with the public. Duneland School Corporation representatives will be present to offer general information on the state of our schools as well as answer questions that the public might have regarding the proposed referendum.
On February 4, 2019, the locally elected Duneland School Corporation Board passed a resolution establishing that the Corporation will pursue a referendum that would, if passed by the voters residing in the Corporation, allow for a continuance of the referendum tax rate not to exceed $0.22.
