Purpose of the GATE program:

The Gifted and Talented Education Program (GATE) Provides enrichment and advanced learning opportunities in an ongoing process through which we develop the emerging strengths of each identified student in intellect, motivation, creativity, and leadership. By offering differentiated learning opportunities, we provide a rigorous academic environment to meet the educational needs of our advanced learners.

Thankfulness Jar

Students are keeping up with a thankfulness jar. They will place a token in their thankfulness jar every time they offer a genuine thank you or show appreciation for something. A genuine thank you means to say the person’s name and tell him/her what he/she did for which they are thankful.

Character in Action

Have you noticed your child doing things around the house to show their kindness or maybe their thankfulness? We sure hope so!

This quarter, students have been given the task of performing two acts of kindness for family members. Students were challenged to think about all the people around them who do things for them every single day, usually without help or even a “thank you.” They had to pick someone they wanted to thank by showing their thankfulness in a service project that would help them and make them feel appreciated.

Service, Kindness, the Golden Rule, Compassion, Patriotism, Empathy... these are just a few of our character words.

We Want To Say Thank You and GOOD JOB to YOU!!
