Tumuaki Kōrero

Kia ora Parents and Whānau,

It is hard to believe that we are in the final week of Term three. We hope that you and your whānau are participating in the focus on Mental Health Awareness this week.

Thanks again for all of the support and mahi you have given to your children and our staff over the last few weeks. Our learners and teachers have worked well online achieving some great results, while also managing to have some fun along the way.

We are all looking forward to being back face to face next month and celebrating 2021 with lots of opportunities in the last term. As things progress we will keep you informed of events and any adjustments that we will need to make. At the start of the year we had planned a Teacher Only Day adjacent to Labour Weekend. This has been postponed until next year.

I hope you and our tamariki enjoy the break from the school routine. Take care!

Ngā mihi nui

Wendy

Musical Instrument lessons available at school

Our School works with the Music Education Centre to offer parents the convenience of specialist instrumental lessons for their children here at school. If you would like to find out more about this opportunity, please contact the Music Education Centre directly on 0800 89 39 39 or lessons@musiceducation.co.nz.

Guitar Lessons - Dave Gatman

Hi there! I have taught Guitar to kids in schools for over 15 years. I love working with kids and inspiring the next generation of musicians. I like to make my lessons as positive and fun as possible, teaching a range of songs from traditional folk/blues to the current pop and rock tunes.

I've played the guitar in a large variety of settings, and I'm currently in a covers band playing at weddings, bars and parties.

Lessons are in groups of up to 4 at a time, and cost $20.00 plus gst, for half an hour.

Individual lessons are offered if I feel like the student will benefit from them, and if I have space. These cost $35.00 plus GST per half hour.

Lessons are on Wednesday mornings at TNIS as well.

Feel free to contact me - dave.gatman@musiqhub.co.nz. Or text/call on 021 2221456.

Thanks,

Dave
