Sharing Corner
The week prior to our break I met with all the non-tenures and asked them to share some ideas that they had come across while teaching in this virtual format. Needless to say I was very impreessed with what they shared. They taught me some things that I was not aware of and I am glad that they took the time to share their thoughts and ideas. Please take a look at the link and check out some of their tips and tricks. If you have any ideas that you feel would benefit the whole group, please share. We can do this. Tips and Tricks
Google Meet meets Google Classroom (New)
Google Meet meets Google Classroom. Joe has updated his tips and tricks form. Please scroll down to the bottom of his document to learn more about what Google has recently done to address some concerns about Google Meet and how Google Meet is now seemlessly connected to Google Classroom, pretty cool stuff. They are constantly updating their products. Take a look at how to mute or remove certain students during a meeting
Top Dog
Please complete by Friday, April 24, 2020
Educator Evaluation During Extended School Closure as a Result of COVID-19
Please view the this link to better understand how teachers will be evaluated this year. There have been significant changes to this years evaluation process. Briefly, all tenured teachers will receive a NE (Not Evaluted - if they are in good standing) and all non-tenure will receive a summative based on their observations to date. SGOś will not be completed for this year.
Professional Development Plans (PDPś) 2019-2020
PDPś need to be completed by the end of April. The majority of you picked SEL (#1) and and improving climate and culture(#4). The link that was shared by Mr. Waldron will help you complete this task. I have put some dates in that will assist with the two topics above and they should be added to your PDP as sources of evidence along with what you did personally within your own classroom. If you have any questions you may ask Mr. Waldron or myself. Just remember that the items that you put into your PDP should be connected to your objectives. You do not put in everything unless it connects to social emotinal learning or climate and culture.
