November Newsletter
Looking Back
We had a crazy busy October. Students were playing football, volleyball, dancing, marching, and cheering to name just a few things. Our DECA students went to their first competition. Several of our students got to meet Mike Smith on his first stop on his nationwide tour. Our Academy family came together for the homecoming tailgate for an awesome event put on by our Booster Club and Academy Parents. We did such a great job at bringing the spirit and the vibe thanks to our kids, parents, and our DJ , DJ MPac, that we were the clear winner from the beginning. We had a great enrichment learning how to write checks and balance checkbooks and we closed the month of with a great student led Open House for perspective Academy students, and a fun Pumpkin Decorating Networking Event. Check out the video below to see all the great things we did this month and the first and second place winners of the pumpkin decorating contest.
Looking Forward
As we begin to wind down for the semester, we need to make sure that we are completing our required volunteer and enrichment hours for this semester. 12.5 volunteer hours by December 3rd and 2 enrichments by December 14th. I've added the links to add your volunteer hours and outside (off campus) enrichments below. Please remember that grading for a teacher is not allowed for volunteering hours. We will also have our final on campus enrichment this month as well. There will be no on campus enrichments in December to allow time for studying for final exams.
