Principal's Message
In September, our students will take their beginning of the year assessments. These assessments in reading and math help us know where a child is currently in their learning and how we can better assist them moving forward. With the assessment data, our teachers will be able to better tailor the learning to their specific students. Remind your students to do their best, but it is okay if they don't know something yet!

Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures
Blue - drop off and pick-up zone
Yellow - crosswalks
Green - park and walk your student to their door
Bus Students
If you live in the country, you need to call transportation at (208) 525-7580 to give them your address. They will tell you where your child will be picked up. Please do this ASAP!
We highly recommend that parents of students without siblings meet their child at the bus stop after school. Kindergarten students will no longer be dropped off at their door. Please teach your child where to get on and off the bus and how to get home independently or meet them at the bus stop each afternoon.

If you have any questions about Second Step Elementary, please don't hesitate to contact me or your child's teacher for more information. Thank you for your support as we work to build a safe and supportive school community.
