CELC News & Updates
Hello Creekside Families,
I hope that everyone had a great weekend! My daughter didn't have any sports this weekend but somehow we stayed busy! We helped pack 100,000 meals to send to families in Peru. This was our 5th year participating. It took our group about 2 1/2 hours! It is amazing how teamwork really does make the "dream work".
Our staff is so excited to welcome students back to in-person learning 5 days a week. We are ROCKIN' and ROLLIN" 5 days a week starting Monday, May 17. Don't forget to send your student to school on Wednesday :). We are celebrating this milestone on Wednesday by dressing up like rock stars or wearing our favorite band shirt. Please join the fun.
Thank you to everyone who has already filled out the RSVP form for Kindergarten Promotion. If you haven't done that yet, please make sure that you complete the survey by June 1. As a reminder, each student is able to have 4 guest. The district determined this number in partnership with local authorities and the CDC guidelines. We will be requiring all guests to wear a mask, even if you have been vaccinated. A staff member will be at the gate to check people in. We will be rearranging the lunch tables to create a space for risers. We have 30+ lunch tables that will be spread around the shade structure. Each family will have their own table. As we work out more details, we will be sure to communicate them with you. The PTA will have some items for sale. Please be sure to bring a little cash. They can also take Venmo.
Coins for Cubs is going strong. Thank you for all of your contributions. Each classroom that raises $125 or more will get a popsicle party. The class that raises the most money will get a second prize of their choice.

This month's theme is all about reflecting on what gives our life meaning. Being a part of something bigger than ourselves or focusing on things that we value is key to our well-being. Having a faith, spirituality or being involved with a particular cause or passion can provide this sense of something bigger, or it could be relationships that you nurture and that give your life meaning. Let's take time to reflect on what we care about this month and resolve to try and keep these things at the front of our minds as society starts opening up again.dies, like unplugging from technology, reconnecting with nature and getting more sleep! Join CELC in making more meaningful choices this month.
