GJPS Ready to Break Ground
Let's celebrate the groundbreaking for the new Gahanna Lincoln High School building on Oct. 20 at 4:30 p.m. With our stadium construction well underway, we are excited to get the work started on our new high school.

Inclement Weather Messaging
GJPS Emergency Test for Families and Staff October 13
In the event of inclement weather, all Gahanna-Jefferson families and staff will be notified via phone, text and email.
Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools will test our mass notification system the evening of October 13, 2022.
If inclement weather should occur prior to the test, please check our GJPS website, social media sites and local news for weather displays or cancellation information.
If you do not currently receive text messages but would like to, please text a message of "Y" or "Yes" to 67587.
Please also go to the parent portal and update your phone number(s) and email address if needed. You can access the Parent Portal Update Help Resource if you need directions on updating your contact information.

October is National Principal Appreciation Month and we are proud to acknowledge the dedication and leadership of our GJPS principals. We are grateful for their commitment to our students, staff and families and wish them a very happy month of appreciation!
Blacklick Elementary
Blacklick Elementary recently celebrated its "Kindergarten Storybook Readers" with a marching parade through the school!
Lincoln High School
Enjoy this September 2022 performance of our GLHS Marching Band presenting their entire Shrek production, at the Orin 'Dykae' Ford Tiger Band Review in Massillon, Ohio.
GEAR Gardens
GEAR Gardens of Jefferson Township recently harvested the pumpkins they planted in June!
The goal of GEAR (Gahanna Employability and Adult Readiness) Gardens is to be a self-sustaining agricultural program that incorporates competitive integrated employment opportunities, independent living skills, and community-based instruction for GJPS students who are ages 18-21.

Phase Two Projects
Building Pride for Our Future
In November 2020, voters in the Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools district approved a bond and operating levy to fund Phase Two of the GJPS Master Facilities Plan.
Phase Two of the Master Facilities Plan Includes:
- Additions and renovations to High Point and Blacklick Elementary
- New Lincoln High School on current site
BinaxNOW At-Home Rapid Test Kits Available for Symptomatic Students and Staff
BinaxNOW At-Home COVID-19 Rapid Test Kits are currently available for students and staff currently enrolled in GJPS schools who are EXHIBITING SYMPTOMS of COVID-19.
REQUEST FORM MUST BE COMPLETED IN ADVANCE
While supplies last, you may request kits for:
The number of students you have enrolled in Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools in your household who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
The number of GJPS staff in your household who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
A confirmation email will not be sent.
PLEASE WEAR A MASK WHEN PICKING UP A RAPID TEST AT THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING

After completing a Rapid Test Kit Request Form, kits are available for pick up at:
