Dear JUHSD Families,
We are so grateful for your incredible dedication over the past year. Our students are lucky to have you as parents, and we are grateful that you have chosen to trust us with their education. We know that not all of you are returning to in-person instruction, and we completely respect your decision. If your student is participating in the Hybrid Model of Instruction, we are pleased to announce that we have finalized the dates for returning to campus. If you are assigned to hybrid and would like to return to distance learning, please complete this form.
Return Timeline
Twelfth Grade Hybrid Instruction begins Thursday, April 15th.
Ninth Grade Hybrid Instruction begins Monday, April 26th.
Eleventh Grade Hybrid Instruction begins Monday, May 3rd.
Tenth Grade Hybrid Instruction begins Monday, May 10th.
We are not able to honor requests to switch to Hybrid Learning at this time because it will significantly alter our Return to Campus Plan. If there are extenuating circumstances and there is a need for your child to attend an in-person hybrid setting, please contact your child’s principal. There will be an opportunity at the beginning of May to opt-in to have your child participate in the hybrid model.
Coming to school in-person may stir up some excited or nervous feelings. Please be reassured that social-emotional wellness is a critical focus for us as we return back to campus. If you are concerned and need some extra support, please reach out! We have a team of incredible people on standby in addition to our school counselors to provide care, compassion, and understanding. Information on how to access these resources can be found on our website at https://www.juhsd.net/domain/561.
Logistics:
Please stay tuned for information from your school about drop off and pick up locations, COVID Expectations and Responses, safety procedures and cohort days assignment.
The ability to return to campus and stay on campus depends on the whole community’s commitment to following strict guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 such as mask wearing, hand washing, social distancing.
Parents are required to register their students for COVID testing (click for more information). School sites will be sending out instructions on how to register.
Parents will be required to submit daily health screenings for their students.
Due to the Health Order restrictions from San Mateo County Health Department, we cannot allow non-essential visitors on campus. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
In closing, thank you for your continued support and patience. We are looking forward to seeing students on campus.
Warmly,
Toni Presta
