Shout Outs

Shout Out to Mr. Suarez for organizing the Veterans Day recognition ceremonies!

Shout Out to Kindergarten for organizing an amazing conference week schedule with a presentation by Colonel Gaba, a visit by local police officers, and a Thanksgiving Concert on Thursday!

Shout Out to Mrs. Gill for working with parents to create an amazing FlipGrid studio in her classroom.

Shout to Ms. White for attending the board meeting on Thursday night where 6 of our students were recognized for top SBAC scores and for top attendance posters.

Report Card Conference Week Reminders

First off, thank you! The report card comments were well developed and thoughtful. I LOVED how many of you took the time to highlight SPECIFIC goals for the second trimester. A few reminders:

1. We have recess each day to allow students the chance to eat. I know this is new but the goal is to increase the number of students eating lunch before they head home. The impact was large today with 100 ADDITIONAL students eating lunch over the typical minimum days of the last two years. Thanks for your flexibility.

2. Please report to duty like normal. If you normally have an afternoon recess duty, please report to the single recess to assist.

3. Please remember to stay positive with our parents and students. I want you to be realistic and honest but if you lead with strengths and a growth mindset about student ability, we will better earn the trust and help of our parents!

Thank you for the hard work!

Coyote Fun Run Recap

The pledges remain open for a couple more days but barring any major pledges, it appears we have made 96% of our $20,000 fundraising goal. Much of that can be attributed to your support! Please utilize the PTA funds that are available. Speaking of that, I REALLY ENCOURAGE you to find field trip opportunities for our students. I know it is work but these are unique learning experiences for our students.
