NTZB Parent Bulletin

December 12, 2021

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Hello New Tech Families,

This will be the final bulletin of 2021! It is hard to believe that we are bringing our first semester to a close at the end of the week. I am so proud of the dedication and effort our students and staff are putting forth to finish strong. The school community has been bustling with activity lately and New Tech students can be seen all around representing our school with pride, whether it be performing in the winter play, excelling on the basketball court, or engaging in community service activities. I encourage all parents to talk to their students about the importance of being involved in extracurriculars and staying connected to our school community. This is how we build a strong school culture and climate, where all belong and feel valued!

It is also the time of year in which we begin thinking of the incoming class of 2026! New Tech will host four orientation nights in January followed by a district Freshman night at the ZB campus in February 2022. New Tech will bring many exciting options next year, such as enhanced dual credit core classes through CLC, tech elective courses and a band/choir option for freshman! Please continue to read the bulletin for important information on finals week, orientation, absence reporting and other programming items. I wish everyone a safe, happy holiday season and Happy New Year! As always, I look forward to creating more great days for our students and staff as we move into second semester and 2022!

In partnership,

Bonnie Felske

PETSGIVING'S PENNY WAR RESULTS

In November, the English and History departments at New Tech launched PETSgiving. Students and staff were encouraged to submit pictures of their adorable pets and through several rounds of voting, three finalists remained. Students and staff voted through a "penny war" to determine the winner.

The $200 raised is being donated to the Safe Harbor Humane Society, located in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Join us in congratulating Donut the Duck, who waddled right past the wet-nosed competition!
