From the Office of Principal Miranda
Week 6 of Marking Period 3
Dear Jackrabbits Learning Community,
This week we bring awareness to Random Acts of Kindness day, Friday, Feb. 17th. Attached are fun school friendly ideas to help spread kindness and love within our community.
We are ecstatic to announce our Col. Ben Narbuth Elementary spirit wear on-line store is now available. Orders can be purchased with the use of the QR code on the flyer and link provided. 😀🎉🎊 The store will be closing February 19th. Merchandise will arrive just in time for Spring and within 2-3 weeks from purchase date.
Valentine's Day is an allowable treat day for our students. The last hour of the instructional day is open of classroom festivities. Help us by making sure that any sweet treat or snack is sent with your child in the morning. Please do not send items during the day, since we do not have the personnel to deliver the items to our classrooms. This helps ensure quality instruction is not interrupted. Thank you for understanding.
Positive Behavior Interventions and Support initiative rolled out to encourage the helpfulness, kindness and empathetic acts that our students are caught exhibiting throughout our school. This will be incorporated with our campus Kindness Tree.
Keep in Mind:
We appreciate your patience and kindness during Arrival and Dismissal times as it can create stressors for our students. We have staff on duty to assist and create a system that is safe and efficient for everyone. Everyone can do their part by getting to school with ample time. Traffic is heaviest nearing 7:20 to 7:30 a.m. Stay safe!

Classes are working towards filling out the phrase: Perfect Attendance to be rewarded with a pizza party. This requires 100% attendance from all students in their class. Bonus (fill out) days are Mondays and Fridays.
We are closely monitoring student tardies. Parents I need your help in making sure students are dropped off before 7:45 a.m. Together we can make sure scholars understand that punctuality is an important life skill. Thanks to those families who get to school prior to the tardy bell. Morning arrival should be stress-free for all.
Daily attendance is vital to students' academic and social and emotional success. If students are not feeling well health wise, it is imperative they stay home to keep themselves and others around them safe. When students are not ill, they should be in school. Together we can all make a difference.
