2018-2019 School Year is Moving Along
At Eagle View, I believe we have turned the corner on any mold issues. Our custodians and other facility personnel have done a wonderful job keeping our school in operating condition. We are currently still running dehumidifiers throughout the building in an effort to keep ahead of any further humidity issues.
The marking period will end on October 30. As a reminder, we do not issue paper copies of report cards. Report cards will be posted on CVSIS on November 6. If you do not have access to CVSIS and would like a copy of the report card, please contact the EV Main Office at (717)506-3802.

Attendance Reminders
If your student:
Will be absent or tardy to school: please report that information to the absentee line 717-506-3955 prior to 11:00 AM.
Is absent, the first day your child returns from an absence they should bring a signed note to the main office. The note should indicate the date(s) your child was absent and the reason why. If your child had a medical appointment during this time, they should return to school with a medical note for their absence. Failure to turn in a valid note within three days of his/her return will result in the absence being unlawful.
An important note: After ten absences excused by a parent note, a doctor’s note will be required for any additional absences. Therefore, if you have a doctor note, send it in so the ten-parent note limit is not reached earlier than necessary.
Is tardy, please send your child into school with a signed note explaining why he/she is tardy. Traffic, car problems, missed bus, or oversleeping are not acceptable reasons for being tardy and will be marked as an unexcused tardy. Once he/she accumulates three unexcused tardies, he/she will receive a warning from the principal. The next incident may result in a detention.
Needs to be dismissed early, please have your child bring a signed note to the main office that morning with: his/her name, grade, time you will be picking him/her up, and the reason for the dismissal. Your child will meet you at the front of the building. If he/she is leaving to attend an appointment, please have him/her turn in an appointment verification slip to the main office upon his/her return.
Is out for a family/educational trip, the parent or guardian must complete an Educational Trip Request Form available in the main office or online. Your child will then take the form to ALL of his/her teachers for their signature. When complete, he/she should turn the form into the main office prior to the student leaving for the trip. Any trips taken without having prior principal approval could result in unlawful absences. Five days is the maximum number of days a student may miss per school year for family/educational trips.
Is riding home on a different bus: a bus note must be turned in with the following information: your child’s name and grade, the date(s) of bus change, if it is for AM, PM, or both, the number of the requested bus, and the bus stop location (or the name of the student with whom your child is riding).
Activity Bus is Available Mondays through Thursdays
Students of the Month
The following students have been selected by the teachers on their team as Students of the Month. We call these students “Pride of the View” as they demonstrate the qualities of honor, service, scholarship, leadership, respectfulness, and school pride.
September’s “Pride of the View” students are:
In sixth grade:
Morgan Ryall
Avery Reynolds
6AT teachers have observed Morgan to be a very kind student who works hard in class. They also noticed that she always has a smile on her face. Mrs. Tavares said, "Morgan always has a positive attitude and gives maximum effort for everything she does. She is very helpful and works extremely well with other students she is paired with. I have really enjoyed getting to know her so far this year and am looking forward to having her in class the rest of the year!"
The 6AT teachers have observed Avery to be a respectful student who is always ready and willing to learn. It is evident that Avery is proud to be a student at Eagle View and has embraced the 6th grade environment coming from elementary school. Miss Weaver said, “Avery is always willing to help another student in need whether it is academically or by being a good friend. His positive attitude and willingness to ask for help show great growth mindset.”
In 7th grade:
Madison Statler
Ogy Pejanovic
7AT team describes Madison as a bright and motivated student. She clearly likes being here at Eagle View and feels comfortable enough to take academic challenges. Madison’s positive attitude is contagious and her leadership skills are evident. Ms. Schneider shared, “Madison is an awesome student who always takes the initiative in class. She is positive and outgoing, and I have enjoyed getting to know her these past few weeks!”
The 7AT teachers observed Ogy to be a very hardworking and positive student. He is always on task and is a role model for his classmates. Mrs. Murray states, “Ogy is determined, but with a laid back style that puts everyone at ease. Getting to know him this month has been a pleasure. He volunteers often and isn’t afraid to make mistakes in the learning process.”
Our 8th grade Pride of the View students are:
Alli Hunt
Jordan Tiday
The 8AT team has high marks for Alli. As a new student to Eagle View this year, Alli has shown a confidence beyond her years. The teachers shared they feel lucky to have her here. “She has a positive personality,” Mrs. Dolbin said of Alli. “She works well in groups and is attentive and focused in class.”
Jordan also received high marks from the 8AT team. Mr. Knisely has noticed several positive traits in Jordan. He says that Jordan strives to put forth his best effort each and every day. Mr. Lindholm added that Jordan is always smiling, always working hard, and always kind to others.
Congratulations to all of September’s Pride of the View students. Their information recognizing this recognition is now posted across from the main office.
