Which math, English, and foreign language courses can you take your first year of college? For most colleges, you’ll need to take placement tests to find out. Incoming freshmen typically take them in spring and summer before starting school. Be on the lookout for information from your college with details or contact the admissions office.

Mental Health Minute - Stressed Out Teens
Anyone who spends time with teenagers can tell you that teens are more stressed out than ever. In fact, recent studies show that the rates of anxiety in children ages 13-17 have more than quintupled since the Great Depression. There are many reasons for the increase including, but not limited to: less sleep, less downtime, increased technology, changing family dynamics, the push for academic achievement, etc. Below is an interesting article on the science behind student stress and how resiliency and a growth mindset are critical tools teens need to manage the inevitable setbacks they will face.
