This summer's #cyberPD title is DIY Literacy by Teacher's College own Kate and Maggie Roberts. What a great opportunity to connect with others about reading! 5th Annual Teachers Write!
Started by children's author and educator Kate Messner along with some co-conspirators, Teachers Write is an online summer writing camp June 27th through August 5th.
You are most effective as a writing teacher when you are truly a writer yourself. Join these amazing writers and educators as part of a community which supports and encourages.
Global Read Aloud 2016
This year's Global Read Aloud spotlights some terrific titles! An author study of the amazing Lauren Castillo (if you haven't read her books, please take a look!), The BFG, and Sara Pennypacker's book Pax (it is an amazing read, but best for older grades) are choices for K-4. Maker Camp - A free summer summer camp for building and making - online and at your house! Try out some amazing projects, go on some fascinating virtual field trips, get messy, fix and break things, and just have FUN!
