Student Holiday - Monday, Oct. 19

All Argyle ISD students will be out of school on Monday, Oct. 19 for a student holiday. This will serve as a conference day and professional development day for Argyle ISD teachers and staff. Argyle ISD campuses will resume regular schedules on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

Early Voting Held Through Oct. 30

Early voting is here! Early voting in the November general election will be held through Oct. 30. The following information includes early voting locations/times for the Argyle ISD community...

October 13-17: Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

October 18: Sunday, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

October 19-24: Monday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

October 25: Sunday, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m

October 26 - 30: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Enrollment Impact of Furst Ranch on Argyle ISD

Argyle ISD would like to update its families and community with the latest information and enrollment projections in regard to the proposed Furst Ranch development in southern Argyle.

Furst Ranch is a master-planned community development that includes more than 2,000 acres at the intersection of FM 1171 and State Highway 377. The entire property is all within the Argyle ISD boundaries and is land owned by former Argyle ISD parent Jack Furst. The development is still in the planning stages and includes the municipalities for Argyle, Bartonville and Flower Mound.

"While the Furst Ranch development is still in the planning phases, we are having on-going discussions of its potential impact on our district and community by assessing the projected enrollment impact for long-range planning purposes," said Dr. Telena Wright, Argyle ISD Superintendent."

Argyle ISD School Board Meeting Monday, Oct. 19

The Argyle ISD Board of Trustees will hold a Regular Board meeting on Monday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. Board meetings are open to the public and are held at 800 Eagle Dr. in the Argyle ISD administration building. Board meeting agendas are available online here.

Donate to the Majestics Sock Drive!

The AHS Majestics Dancers recently kicked off their sock drive. They have placed boxes just inside the front entrance of each campus in Argyle ISD. All sock donations will be delivered to a shelter in Fort Worth. AHS Majestics Dance Team member Aly Allen helped deliver the donation boxes around the district!

Argyle ISD is committed to keeping our staff, families and community updated of COVID-19 cases in the district. The district is sharing regular updates to our staff and families regarding actives cases on our campuses. If you are not receiving these email notifications please contact the Director of Communications, Rick Herrin at rherrin@argyleisd.com.

Argyle ISD is providing a COVID-19 Cases Dashboard which is updated daily. Click here to visit the COVID-19 Screening page for more information regarding lab-confirmed cases and requirements by the student or staff member before returning to school/work.

Argyle ISD Celebrates Human Resources Day!

This week, Argyle ISD celebrated Texas Education Human Resources Day. This is special celebration as Argyle ISD joined districts across the state to take a moment to recognize the outstanding work being done by the Human Resources department.

Arygle ISD recognized Deputy Superintendent Chris Daniel and his assistant Jennifer James for their outstanding work being in the recruitment, training and retainment of our Eagle teachers and staff. They do a tremendous job in hiring the best in the state to serve our Eagles. Argyle ISD employs more than 500 staff members across all campuses and facilities.

Coach Rodgers Earns 200th Career Win!

Last Friday in Anna was a special win for the Argyle Eagle football team and head coach Todd Rodgers.

The victory marked Rodgers 200th career win -- all at Argyle. He took over the Eagle program in 2003 and owns a record of 200 wins and just 37 losses. Rodgers has led the Eagles to 11 consecutive district championships, 17 consecutive playoff appearances, five state championship games, and the 2013 Class 3A state title.

This week he was also named the Dallas Cowboys/Whataburger Coach of the Week. With this honor, the Argyle High School football program receives a $2,000 grant from the Gene and Jerry Jones Family Foundation and Whataburger. Rodgers will also be recognized during the broadcast of the Dallas-Arizona game Monday night on ESPN.

Eagles Host Carrollton Ranchview on PINK OUT Night

The No. 1 state-ranked Argyle Eagles (6-0) return home this week to host Carrollton Ranchview on Pink Out Night at Eagle Stadium. Wear your pink to support breast cancer awareness. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

Argyle is coming off a 45-7 victory last Friday at Anna. Following Friday night, the Eagles will have three games remaining, including the final regular season home game on Oct. 30 vs. Kaufman.

Lady Eagle Volleyball Hosts Bridgeport Friday

The Argyle Lady Eagles' volleyball team hosts a district match against Bridgeport at 5 p.m. on Friday. The Lady Eagles are coming off a sweep on the road at Castleberry on Tuesday. Argyle is currently 17-8 overall and 5-5 in district.

Lady Eagles Earn 5th-Place Finish

The Argyle Lady Eagles' golf team recently competed in the NTHSGCA’s Memorial Tournament at Lake Park in Lewisville and earned a 5th-place finish. The girls played this event from the men’s tees making the open course more difficult.

Junior Katie Garner led the Lady Eagles with a two-day score of 78-81-159. Senior Madelyn Diomede shot scores of 84-83, while Madi Hance, a freshman, followed with scores of 83-86 for a 169. Maddie Wilson, junior, shot 93 and 87 as senior Izzy Wolfe shot 101 and 88 to round out the team scoring. Corin Sullivan, a junior, traveled with the Varsity first team playing as a medalist at Lake Park shooting 105 and 95. The girls will next play in Eaton High School’s Invitational at the Golf Club at the Resort.
