2022 Yearbooks are IN!!!!

Pickup your yearbook ANYDAY next week(Monday-Friday) during the first half of Refuel in downstairs A-Pod near the glass room.

Extra yearbooks will be available for purchase at the front desk beginning May 9th.

Dates to Remember-


Senior Awards Night- May 10th, 6pm in the auditorium


Graduation- May 16th, 2pm, Von Braun Center

EACH Senior student receives 10 tickets to graduation. The school DOES NOT have extra tickets for sale. Students can check with other classmates for extra tickets.

Rocket City Learning Center will be hosting an ACT Prep. for the June test. The course is 12 hours Meets ONLINE.

Test date: June 11th 2022

Starts on 1st June 2022- Ends on 8th June 2022

Class Meets on: 6/1, 6/2, 6/3, 6/6, 6/7, 6/8 , (Timings: 7-9 pm)


Fee: $240 till 5/20; Will increase to $300 after 5/20.

What is included in the 12 hour class:12 hours of group instruction, a workbook with 4 tests, an overview of all 4 sections, strategies for each section, tricks for time management, limited guided and timed practice during the class.

Enrollment is limited, so please register as soon as possible to ensure your student does not miss out on this opportunity.







IMPORTANT REMINDERS


NO outside food or beverage is allowed during school hours.


DO NOT remove cones or barricades from designated areas in the parking lot. These are in place for the safety and smooth arrival and dismissal at James Clemens.


Car Rider-Drop Off/Pick Up Zone is at the auditorium entrance NOT the front entrance!

PTSA News

NATIONAL REFLECTIONS WINNER

We are pleased to announce that Oviya Gowder has received a national Award of Outstanding Interpretation in Dance Composition through National PTA’s 2021-2022

I Will Change the World By... Reflections program. Oviya Gowder’s music composition submission, “Save The Children” was selected from over 900 student submissions from 47 State PTA Congresses.

As the Outstanding Interpretation winner, Oviya Gowder will receive a gold medallion, an $800 Young Artist Scholarship, and a certificate from National PTA as well as a featured role in upcoming virtual celebrations.

We are so proud of our Oviya!! Please join us in congratulating her.




PTSA SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

Congratulations to ALEX KING & AINSLEY HULSEY for being chosen as the 2022 James Clemens PTSA Scholarship recipients!!! Each student received $500 to help defray the expenses associated with tuition and fees for scholastic endeavors or professional training.

JROTC New and Freshmen Orientation

Parents and guardians of future cadets for James Clemens High School JROTC.

The New and/or Freshman cadets orientation will be held 20-24 June 2022, 9 AM to 12 O'clock. Graduation ceremony, Friday 24 June, 12 O'clock. Individuals completing orientation will be promoted to Private First Class. Orientation will be held in the JROTC classroom H108. Enter the building through the gymnasium doors.

Water and snacks will be provided.
