Week 25: Feb 10-21st
Springville Mayor Youth Award Winners—Congratulations Mustangs!
Mustang Monday Message
I hope you all had a wonderful extra long weekend!
We are excited about the many upcoming events this week and next. Tomorrow morning, we have Spring Pictures for those interested in participating.
The school and PTA each hold one fundraiser per year. As a school we will be holding a Reading-Round-Up Fundraiser from February 18th-March 3rd to celebrate reading and to raise funds to increase books in our leveled library (which teachers use with their reading groups) and technology programs to enhance student learning. On February 18th-February 23rd students will collect pledges for the number of minutes they will read during the week of Feb 24th-March 1st; during this week, several reading activities will be held to get the students excited about reading (see a list of those events below). Money will be collected from March 2nd-5th. See the calendar below for a list of events.
Tomorrow, we have the exciting opportunity to listen to Derek Parra, an olympian speed skater. He will be speaking at an assembly to our Mustangs at 1:30, yay!
We are looking forward to an exciting couple of weeks. Best wishes,
Principal Balli

PTA Message
If you've ever wanted to be a waiter/waitress, NOW'S YOUR CHANCE! Culver's in Spanish Fork is offering a percentage of ALL sales during 5-8pm on Thursday, Feb. 20th, if we are willing to help deliver food to tables/drive thru. No experience necessary. Come mingle with Ms. Balli and Meadow Brook teachers & feed your family! Please sign up for a time slot if you are able to don an apron and help out! Thank you!
Box Tops
Thank you to all who have helped so far this school year with our box tops collections - both the physical clips that go to the school and the electronic scanning of receipts. Between the two, we have earned $484.90 for the 2019-2020 school year (as of 2/5/20).
Another deadline for submitting physical Box Tops clips is coming up! Please send all box tops to school by Monday February 24th. (If the expiration date is March 1st, make sure to not hang onto them at home any longer! For the box tops that are expired, just throw them away.)
Remember, that you have 14 days from the day of purchase to scan your receipt to earn digital Box Tops credit. If you are not sure if you bought any items that have Box Tops -- scan your receipt anyway and it will tell you whether or not you had any earnings.
Have you ordered something & not received it?
